Welcome to Long Island Pet Professionals! The first and only networking group dedicated to just pet professionals here on Long Island. This networking group has been created to bring together pet professionals in all areas of the pet industry island wide.
Whether you are a dog trainer, veterinarian, groomer, horse farrier, pet store owner, involved in wildlife rescue, a dog or cat rescue organization, horse rescue organization, pet massage therapist, pet photographer, animal lawyer, shelter worker or just entering the pet professional world – then this is the networking group for you!
LI’er’s in this industry have had no where to turn to network and work together to help enrich the lives of our pets and their owners on LI. Long Island Pet Professionals is here to change that, and make the industry better for all of us! Well, that is the goal anyway.
Monthly networking meetings take place in different pockets of Long Island and was started in February of 2009. Our meetings have been very successful and we have a new Guest Speaker Series, and have covered topics such as: Media Training, How to Promote Your Pet Business, Twitter Tweetorials and PR events. LOGO Contest!!
Long Island Pet Professionals Logo Contest!!
We are looking for a logo to adorn our website and the official contest will run from:
Friday, March 5, 2010 and ends on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 12 noon.
The logo will be on the home page, all of our print materials and more. So we are looking for creative, fun and professional submissions. Look to the upper left hand corner of the website now where it says, Long Island Pet Professionals, that is the area we are looking to fill (200 pixels wide x 110 pixels high).
What we are looking for? A classic, professional, clean logo that incorporates pets, Long Island and professionalism. It can be colorful, modern, artistic, and legiable.
We are not looking for anything too cutesy, paw prints, or cartoon characters.
Who can enter? Basically any freelance graphic designer or established firm that is looking for exposure.
How to submit? This is very simple, please submit your design to Nancy@LongIslandPetProfessionals.com. All submissions must be in a JPEG format and 200 pixels wide x 110 pixels high.
Why enter? The person or firm who submits the winning logo will be announced via all social media outlets, announced in our weekly newsletter, an article written about them, and given full exposure on the home page of the website in the “your ad here” for 3 months!
